Our Story

KPAL was organized in 1954. The original Charter stated that KPAL was organized to “police” the Village of Kohler during the Kohler Strike. Over the years, amendments have been made to the Charter. Presently membership includes past and present Village residents, School District residents, School choice families and Kohler Alumni.

KPAL generates funds by holding an annual Brat Fry each February, partnering with the Sheboygan Falls Lions for Oktoberfest each fall, and by members donating time for special events.

KPAL has supported and continues to support the following activities:

  • Scholarships – one boy and one girl from Kohler High School Athletes who meet athletic and academic requirements.
  • Kohler Boy Scouts – sponsoring organization – cover adult registration and awards cost. Pay for utilities and associated items for Scout House and provide help with special needs. Provide assistance in Eagle Scout Projects.
  • Kohler Girl Scouts – provide adult registration and assist with awards costs.
  • Kohler Youth – Financial support for Athletic Banquets, baseball jerseys, summer baseball programs, annual swim meet, flag football, youth tackle football league, State Championship banners for the gym, summer boys and girls basketball camps and the list goes on to help with youth’s needs
